Epsilon: I’d like to say that I found her right away, that I just walked into the Epsilon Unit, and there she was, waiting for me. As you can probably guess, it didn’t happen that way, but, I know she’s in here somewhere, and I’ll find her. We always seem to find each other, for better or for worse. I don’t know why the Director did what he did. I don’t know if he was trying to revive a memory from his past, or if he was just trying to get it out of his head. But I figured out something that the Director didn’t. It took Alpha, Delta, and the rest to help piece it together for me, but what I’ve learned is that a great love is a lot like a good memory. When it’s there, and you know it’s there, but it’s just out of your reach, it can be all that you think about. You can focus on it, and try to force it, but the more you do, the more you seem to push it away. But if you’re patient, and you hold still, then maybe… Just maybe… It will come to you. I just need to make sure I’m somewhere she can find me. I think this place is a little different than it was before. See, out there, everything is based on the Alpha, but in here, I guess I’m the Alpha. And maybe this time through, things will be a little different for me as well. I guess I’ll find out.
Memory of Tucker: Hey Church, come on! I think the Reds just got a new vehicle! Let’s go check it out!
Memory of Caboose: They only got a jeep! We got a tank! That’s way better!
Epsilon: Ok, I’ll be right there! And I mean, hell, if you have to live the rest of your life in a memory… You might as well make it a good one.
A Bitchy Friend, a Depressed friend, and an 80s film.
So I just had a unique movie viewing experience. I was invited by my friends to watch a movie tonight in the residence movie lounge. The lounge is nice enough, and is in essence a miniature theatre. So I thought to myself this should be an enjoyable experience I have not seen my friends since the christmas break and I had not seen the movie we were planning on watching. The Film was The Fly, so naturally I was prepared for an enjoyable horror movie…which surprised as my friend (who shall henceforth be known as the bitchy one) is not a fan of horror flicks. My feelings on the movie aside (it was a poorly acted over sexualized monster movie), the movie watching experience was pretty poor. The Bitchy Friend kept making harsh and angry comments every time the Depressed friend would ask a question. See my depressed friend is not doing the greatest as his life is in a way going down the shitter, I have tried to give help where help is needed by he is not willing to listen to my words. Another thing about Depressed Friend is that he is not the brightest….a very nice fellow just not the brightest when it comes to following a plot. Now he had seen the film before but he would still have small questions he would look upon me to answer. Which I did but not without the commentary from Bitchy (usually happy) friend. Bitchy Friends comments started off nice enough, but as the character in the film transformed so did that of his demeanour. To add upon this growing tension their were multiple college students running around outside of the viewing room, and Depressed friend was constantly looking over his shoulder. Finally after a torturous hour and a half of mediocre acting, and exceptional moodiness the film ended. When asked what I thought of the movie I said honestly I didn’t really like it. To which Bitchy Nerd outbursts…not loudly but tonally outbursts “You’re way to picky about movies”. So to sum it all up…depression, anger, and terrible movies make for a pretty average college day. Now in my friends defences their moods were not exceptionally prevalent you could tell they were trying to hide their true feelings, it was very subtle yet very annoying. My apologies to my friends if you ever read this I’m sure my explanation was a filled to the brim with hyperbole. You guys are awesome…I just found it very unnerving.
Film as an art form is so difficult to dissect. You are forced to compare two movies on completely different topics in order to come up with a simple solution, which is better. Truth is they are impossible in reality to compare. If art is to imitate life than art is not rank-able. You look at two lives two completely different people with two completely different experiences. Can you say which is better? The same goes for film…each movie is like a life intricate and emotional. So next time you read a top “ten” list that you disagree with think to yourself, who are we to determine the meaningfulness of another’s life.
How would you guys feel if I turned my Tumblr into a sort of movie centric blog. I could do some full on reviews of movies, short recommendations, best scenes ETC. If you think thats something you’d like to see..then like this post if you’d rather I just keep it more of a personal blog then post a comment or something. Thanks and Goodnight.
I start school tomorrow I am less than thrilled…yet more then chilled. Yeah sorry I really have nothing deep to say. Ever feel bad for someone saying something and your not telling them not to?
They are you friends and you know they are joking but you can’t help feeling a little guilty for their actions. Such is the life of a man whom tries to please everyone, when he can’t even please himself.
Movies that depict women as mindless idiots…please I want a woman who is intelligent and can maintain a polite conversation. So please to all the girls out there be yourself and don’t act stupid for some dumbass jock. There are always good guys out there who like you for you.
